DO YOU THINK IT'S TIME?

I've had something on my mind for a bit and I'm sharing it here to get some input. I'm thinking of taking the courses needed to become accredited as a genealogist. This is something that really interests me and I would love to turn into a profession some day, though I already do research for people that I've come across that are interested in their past. I couldn't think of a better job that wouldn't to be actually be a job to me, but a delight!!!

Moving On....

Well, a few days after I posted my last entry, I lost my job. So God has used this as a time to bring me closer to Him. I was able to spend a few weeks with my son and his family. It was such a great time, especially the time I got to spend with my grandchildren. Hannah is so smart for her age. Sarah has done an amazing job as a Navy Mom raising her family while Jay is away serving God and our country. My grandson, Sam is such a happy baby and always smiling. I look forward to spending more time with them this year. Well, we'll see what God has in store for me for a job..I've been looking and placing applications, but no nibbles yet. While I've enjoyed the leisurely time, it's stressful trying to make ends meet, first time in my life I've gotten unemployment, so that's helped. God will open a window, when He closed a door. I'll keep looking to Him!

LIFE THESE DAYS....

Well, lots has happened since I've written here almost a year ago....I've moved my life to Nashville, TN and have started a life near my brother and his family. I've made new friends and found a great Nazarene church to attend. I've changed careers and am learning life in a call center. I have a 2 yr old granddaughter who's beautiful, along with a 3 month old grandson who's ready to sign up to play football. I have a wonderful son who's on his way home to his family soon and a great daughter in law who is the backbone of their family, holding things together while her hubby serves our great country providing spiritual guidance to those around him who fight to keep us free. God is good all the time...all the time God is good!!!

CHANGES IN LIFE

Well I think it's a great idea if I updated this...though I don't feel so bad as some other sites have waited longer than mine. I'm starting out on a big adventure tomorrow and will end up in Nashville, TN in a week or so, with a side trip to Indianapolis, IN. I'm relocating to Nashville to work and do God's will. This is great as I will be near family again as my brother lives there. Another big plus is that I will be closer to Hannah and her parents...that's a great blessing. I can't wait to see what God has in store for me there. It also will allow me to be closer to Indiana so I can spend time with a good friend there. God is so good. I'll try to update again soon....W.

The Next Chapter

Well, do you think it's about time I updated my blog? It's only been since the end of May since I've written here...figured I'd better get on the stick and get this done. Hope everyone had a great summer and fall. I'm in the process of a move to northeast Nebraska. I'm staying with some great friends til I find a place and am getting used to being 30 miles away from Walmart. My son celebrated his 34th birthday yesterday in Afghanistan. His birthday present from Uncle Sam? They should be coming home soon...I thank God for his safety while he's been over there. It will be good to see him and Sarah and Hannah at Christmas. Well enough for now...will try not to stay away so long next time....W.

WANDA'S UPDATE

Well, it's been a while since I've been here....it shouldn't have been so long. My granddaughter is growing like a weed..I miss her so along with her mom and her dad, who's serving God and his country in Afghanistan...he's such a blessing. I went to my home church group tonight...what a wonderful group I'm a part of...we're always there for each other and have a lot of laughs together in the process. God has really blessed me since I've been here in KCK.

So much has changed in the last few months...my job has totally changed and is taking me a lot of getting used to...each day is a learning experience. I've started questioning the direction of my life....it's in God's hands, so I shouldn't be as concerned as I am, as it helps me grow in the Lord.

For those of you who like a bargain, here are a few around KCK...for a $9.95 oil change, get in touch with me and I'll tell you where...just had mine done last week. A great little grocery store with great bargains and a few different locations is Happy Foods Supermarkets with locations that I know of on Leavenworth Rd and K-32. Check it out.

Well, that's all for tonight...I'll try not to stay away so long.
